Years/description of experience coaching and playing:
Graduated from Globe in 2003 and played football, basketball, and track. 2nd year Head Coach.

Why do you coach, and what is your favorite part about it?
I want to see Globe Football get back on the map of competitive teams Small School Arizona Football. We've only 3 winning seasons in the past 20 years and my goal is to make us a winning program. My favorite part about coaching is developing student-athletes to be the best version of themselves now and eventually good people in our community and elsewhere. I keep coaching because of the friendships made with my coaches and players.

What are your work/ interests outside of football?
I'm a family man first and lucky to have 4 amazing kids and a beautiful wife, Rachel. I love helping to build a thriving community here in Globe, AZ. I help support my family as an engineer at TallyHo Engineering. In my free time I like to read and go dancing with my wife.

Gabe Garcia

Running Back / Line Backer Coach

Years/description of experience coaching and playing:
2nd year of High school football, also assistant coaching for wrestling and baseball. Globe High School alumni (class of 2004)



Why do you coach, and what is your favorite part about it?
I coach because I love sports. I want to ensure our youth learns to respect and love sports, but most of all have fun.



What are your work/ interests outside of football?
Has been at Intel Corporation for 10 years, as a manufacture technician, working on machines that make computer chips. Served in the US NAVY for 8 years after graduating from GHS. Interested auto mechanics, hunting & fishing, and uninteresting & random facts.



Anything else you'd like to add?

I’m inspired by the coaches who served this community for so long. I strive to uphold the standards they set in my youth. Go tigers!

Years/description of experience coaching and playing:
-Graduated from Miami in 1997, 5 years NAIA Sterling College 1997-2001, Head Coach San Carlos, Assistant Coach, Defensive Coordinator Globe and Miami. 22 years of coaching experience.



Why do you coach, and what is your favorite part about it?
-I want to invest in the lives of our youth, help mold them into productive individuals through out life.





What are your work/ interests outside of football?
-Technical Instructor with Freeport McMoRan 14yrs. My Family is my Hobby outside of coaching. I'm blessed with a beautiful wife of 17 years and 4 wonderful kids. Current President of our CCYS Punchers (Youth Tackle Football).

Andrew Iddings

Offensive and Deffensive Line Coach

Years/description of experience coaching and playing:
-3 years coaching (first year at Globe). 2 years of being a Sport Performance coach. 5 Years of Division 1 college football at the University of South Dakota. 3 years of NFL experience (Raiders, Saints, Panthers, Buccaneers).



Why do you coach, and what is your favorite part about it?
-I coach football because I love being able to give back to the sport that has helped me out so much. I also love watching athletes grow throughout their athletic careers and being able to help them achieve their goals.



What are your work/ interests outside of football?
-I enjoy golfing and watching football, college and professional.

Glen Melser

Offensive / Deffensive Line Coach

Years/description of experience Coaching and playing:
-7 years experience 6years as assistant coach under Pete Johnovich and Rodger Schenks was on the staff when Globe won the State Championship in 2002. I played football wrestled and track for Globe back in the 80's. Globe alumni (Class of 86)



Why do you coach, and what is your favorite part about it?
-I love football and want to see and help Globe get back to being a competitive team among our Arizona small town sports team's
My favorite part about Coaching is helping our students athletes better them selves and hope what we teach them on and off the field. Helps to develop them into good citizens in our community and elsewhere in life and wherever their future takes them.



What re your work/ interests outside football?
-I was a truck driver for 32 years most of was driving mixer trucks. Currently working for our local AutoZone.

I love spending time with my family and friends. Love college football being in the mountains or out at the lake.



Anything else you'd like to add:
-The privileges I have had working with all the coaches and student athletes past,present and future are friendships to last a life time. Feels good when you run into a past student athlete you coached and still hear them call you coach
